I didn't live here before the Linq, so I can't really review the difference it has made. But what I CAN tell you is that this place serves as a nice little path of entertainment directly off the strip. Or is it still considered on the strip? Who cares.
So it's located near Harrah's & Flamingo. To my understanding, the Linq Hotel used to be the Quad - if that helps. If you really still can't find it, just look for the huge white (lit up by LED lights during the night) wheel in the sky. There are SO many restaurants and shops that line the Linq Promenade. You could easily spend a half a day walking around exploring the space. Some of my favorites are the Poloroid Photo Bar - you can get 6 little cardboard Poloroid style prints from your phone and/or camera for $6. Brooklyn Bowl is also another favorite - bowling and live shows anyone? I also really enjoy hitting up Yard House - probably the largest beer selection in town and the food prices arent too shabby considering its location.
There are still things I have yet to explore here... the "street" art seems like it's always changing, something to check out. I have also yet to ride the high roller (big white wheel that was mentioned earlier). The Linq is definitely a place to stop by if you're staying on the strip or even a local looking for something to do.
