The Christmas Market, while sponsored by a big corporation, feels like a quaint European christmas bazaar:the many lights, the cobblestones, the brick houses and the overall Disneyesque cuteness like much of Europe!. The distillery district is a great location for this kind of community event, whoever thought this up: you're a smart kid.
This year, we went on the 2nd last day of the event and it was crazy busy. We waited in line for at least 10 mins to get into Soma! There was also a short line-up to get into a vintage store and a huge one to get your picture taken with Santa. But it was all fun. With mulled wine in hand and some apple cider later we enjoyed ourselves: taking in the festivities, sitting by the fires, and buying chocolates, tarts, and other knick knacks from the many small kiosks that dot the area.
This was my second year at the Market and I had as much fun as the first year!
