I have been to this dog park several times with my dog Ellie, who is a Kelpi. She has always had fun running chasing dogs, but is not aggressive. This last Friday I took her to run off some energy. There were several labs that were chasing Frisbies into the water and she would go to the water line, which btw was smelly and muddy. A woman came in later with two Rotweillers, one looked like he wanted to play, but he never did. Ellie ran to the doc and ran back my why when one Rottweiler ran by her and nipped at her, Ellie showed her teeth and then the fight was on. The big Rott was overpowering my dog and biting her and Ellie was trying to fight back. I ran over and started yelling at the dog, and Ellie broke loose but the Rott pounced on her again 2 other times. Another Rottweiler ran over and looked like she was going to pick on Ellie as well. I was yelling afraid to get in the middle , and lose a finger or have the dog turn on me!
An older lady who frequents there a lot came over and started yelling at the dog. I FINALLY saw the owner come over and help. She stated to me after it was over " I don't know what happened." REALLY! I do! If she wasn't over there BS'ing with the other people she could have watched it happen and control her dog!!! We of course left and and when I got Ellie home she can gashes in her legs and back! If I had a batt or a high powered hose I would have hosed that dog!!! I will never go back again except to give those people a piece of my mind! First of all you don't own the dog park, and second....control your dog!!!
