Oh honey honey...
Honey Salt was a nice restaurant, but I felt the lunch menu didn't give you a lot of options. I really would have loved to try some of the stuff on their dinner menu (which I didn't know was on their dinner menu until our party of 9 sat down for lunch).
FOOD - 2.5/5
Fried Calamari - 4/5
These little sea creatures were lightly battered and fried excellently. The batter almost reminded me of tempura batter because of how light the starch was. The dipping sauce it came with didn't pair well at all (too creamy).
Market Salad - 3/5
Although the salad had a lot of ingredients (edammame, cheese, carrots, etc) all of the pieces were not the same size. I didn't like the cheese cubes being twice the size of the veggies. There were more salad toppings that actual lettuce and kale too.
Still Water - 0/5
Where I dine, I've never been charged for water. The server only gave us two options for water, bottled or still water. Why the heck would you trick people into ordering water they will be charged for *WITHOUT* telling them about it? That small carafe of still water cost $4 and it tasted like tap water.
SERVICE - 3/5
Service itself was ok, but the wait staff could have been a little more attentive to our large party that was seated right next to the kitchen.
OVERALL - 2.5/5
The best part of our meal was the company and a plate of calamari, which cost as much as an entree (just saying).
Not sure if I would ever be back in the area since it's way the heck off strip in Las Vegas. Pass for me.
