I have stayed at a number of W hotels and this was by far the worst. I don't know what happened or if they just didn't care because it's Vegas, but this entire experience has been sub-W hotel quality.
Food - the food offerings are mediocre. The chicken tenders are dry and overcooked, the grilled cheese was made with an entire stick of butter and the 'Chinese' restaurant doesn't serve Chinese food.
Service - very pleased with the level of service and the pleasant demeanor of the staff.
Rooms - mediocre to fair. The 'king' bed was the size of a queen, the tapestry on the walls was creepy, and the usual W Hotel sexiness just appeared to be missing.
Price - for the price you pay, to be so far from the strip just isn't worth it. You end up spending so much on Uber rides and Monorail rides that it just isn't worth it.
The place to check in is basic and boring. I am just generally disappointed in the entire hotel.
Do yourself a favor and stay at the SLS.
