| - This got me excited when they first open but it took me a while to post this review cos I had been undecided. My first experience was meh. But my boss said this is a good place, and convinced me to give them another chance, which I eventually did. So here's the verdict.
Noodles are great. I had the haus noodles which I quite like. The broth is light but flavorful, with a tad of sweetness to it. I also enjoyed the pork riblets and the combination of leafy greens. Very healthy and satisfying. My bf had the dan dan noodles, he said it was too sweet for him.
We also tried their soup dumplings (xiao long bao), they were nicely made, but unfortunately they stick to the bottom, so getting them out individually without breaking the skin and spilling the soup was a bit of a challenge, but it could be done. That said we found the soup to be a lot less flavorful than the ones in Asia/Chinatown, it was also kind of sweet. Plus the skin was kind of thick as well.
One thing I noticed for the food they serve is that they are leaning towards the sweet side, which suits the western taste better. We noticed the majority of diners were non-Asians.
I do like their tasty dumplings are good, though kind of overpriced. It would be a good place to go to once in a while but not something I frequent on a regular basis.
