  • I lived here for 2 years with my fiancĂ©. The first 1 bedroom apartment that we lived in was fine until it rained. The ceiling and the wall in the living room pooled and dripped water on my couch. Maintenance came over and put a bucket under the leak and I did not have use of the living room for 4 days. Then I was advised that the issue had been fixed and they replaced the damaged ceiling from the leak. It was far from fixed. The next rain storm it happened again. The other issue we had was the neighbor that moved in downstairs would come home from work at 11pm and then start screaming out loud profanity. This happened every night and my fiancĂ© was scared to be in the apartment alone. He played his music so loud at all hours we complained. Management sat us down and asked if we would be a witness if they had to evict him and that they had been trying to get him out for a while. Apparently he trapped maintenance in his bathroom and told them they could not leave until the issue was fixed, that was relayed to us by maintenance. When they did evict him he urinated on our door which our neighbor saw. We worried that he would come back and retaliate so we asked to be relocated. The second apartment that we moved into was a 1 bedroom with a Den. The first month we were there we noticed a lot of water in the bathroom by the shower; Adhesive from the laminate floors was seeping through and was tracked throughout the rug. We did not realize this at fist until the rug started showing dark streaks in all rooms. We called maintenance and the showed up quickly. The advised that they would have the rugs professionally cleaned as soon as we were ready to have them done. They found that the drain pipe from the upstairs tub was leaking down the wall into our bathroom. The maintenance guy had to cut a 3' x3' hole in the wall behind the tub to fix the issue. After the pipe was fixed the hole was patched roughly and we looked at the unfinished wall for 4 months. The only reason it was eventually fixed was because the water heater in the now vacant upstairs apartment let go and poured inches of water into our Den and hallway and was coming down off our patio like a waterfall. Maintenance acted quickly to shut off the water upstairs and they pulled the rug up in the den to remove the water. We had 2 huge fans blowing in that room for 5 days to dry the wall. The rug was stained due to the wooden feet on the couch we had in the room. Maintenance looked at our water heater and noticed that it too needed to be replaced. When they replaced the water heater black and rusted water poured onto our carpet from the water heater being removed. The maintenance guy apologized and told us that the front office would have the rugs cleaned for us because it was their fault. I told him that they were supposed to clean the rugs from when we moved in so I hope they actually do it this time. He said that he would tell them and someone would call and set up a time and date to do it. That never happened. I had to call 911 on the neighbor because of a dispute in front of the apartment. He was screaming that guests he invited tried to stab him. That neighbor attempted to walk into our apartment 3 separate times and was always under the influence of some drug, his pupils were so dilated that all you could see was black. He tried to confront me for calling the cops on his friends to which I just walked away and he tried to follow me into the apartment. We had had enough so we informed the office of the issues and decided to leave. I made sure that there were comments in our file about all the issue we had and I told the office that I was not responsible for the carpet due to all the water damage and adhesive that was tracked from the floors they laid down. The person in the office stated that all of that was in the file and it would be reviewed when we moved out. I left my forwarding address and waited for my deposit to be refunded. The deposit was returned to sender due to a mistake at the post office. The post office had a glitch and was sending all mail to my new address as undeliverable. I went to the office at countrybrook and they said they would have the check sent from Tucson to their office and I could pick it up there. I have now waited 3 weeks and no Check has been sent. Management gave me a rundown of the charges and the amount of my deposit I was getting back. They took out the last water bill which I understand but there was a fee for Rug cleaning deducted from the deposit. I explained that I was told that I had 2 rug cleanings that were going to be done on my apartment and I never had either of them done. I said I should not be responsible for the rug due to the water damage and I never had the promised cleanings done. The Girl argued with me to the point that I decided it best to leave. I call and leave messages to be called back about the check and I have never had a call back.
