Two pals and I went for Sunday brunch - thank goodness that's still a thing - and were really surprised to see the place was pretty bare. Not a lot of business on Sundays in December? They took my reservation but probably didn't need to, because we were one of a handful of people there. That said, this place hasn't changed their food menu in years and that is a very good thing, because the entire menu is fantastic. I come ALL the way from Flagstaff for the food - my favorites are crab cake benedict and the handful of bruschetta options. I might be an easy sell on benedicts, but there's is really top notch. Perfectly made, everything is fresh and comes out hot. The seafood on all the dishes is always fresh and never tastes fishy. Try these bruschetta varieties: with apples and fig, salmon with creme freche and the roasted tomatoes. We get those three just about every time.
I wasn't a huge fan of the white wines this time around, and had to try a few. The top pinot grigio (Riondo?) was a little watery tasting.
Thanks to the girls there for putting up with us meandering through three courses and coffee. :)
