  • I typically go to the Mesa Pediatrics in Tempe which is also fabulous. But I went to the Chandler location to see the lactation specialist they have on Fridays. WOW! She is amazing and seriously changed my life. I went in with my 6 week old and was on the verge of tears every time I had to nurse because I dreaded it so much. While in the hospital after delivery for 4 days (due to C-section), I had every lactation specialist rotate through my room and none of them could figure out why my baby and I were having so much difficulty so they had me use a nipple shield. I hated it and so did my baby but at least she was somewhat eating. I finally decided to go to Ramona at Mesa Pediatrics- it was $50 because insurance doesn't pay for this type of appointment and I was really hesitant about going. Best $50 I could spend on my baby. Ramona is amazing and takes so much time to go over all the things books, classes and the hospital don't teach you. Since I met with her, I no longer need to use a shield, my baby is gaining appropriate weight and my stress level is WAY down! We are both so happy! I would so recommend going to see her!!
