  • My friends and I were approached on the strip by a "promoter" who handed us a wristband and said we would have free drinks all night. I said "Is this one of those pay $20 get free drinks kinda deal?" And he assured me it was. So we were pretty excited to get in. Upon walking up I asked the bouncer if the line that had no people was the line for people with wristbands and he said "Yes but you're friend can't come in here wearing those shoes" she was wearing leather ballet flats... Not sure how that is against the dress code but, moving on. We explained she had blood blisters and couldn't wear anything else. He went and talked to the manager and they said it would be fine if she came in with the flats. This was really nice of the manager, the bouncers attitude wasn't great until this happened and then he was very accommodating. Next we went up to the counter where they took our $20, cut off our wrist band and gave us ONE drink ticket. I walked up to the bartender and asked if it was only for one drink or for the whole night. She looked at me like I was a Martian and said "uh it's just one.." And walked away. I went back up to the counter to clarify and see about this so called "$20 deal" the people at the counter were clearly annoyed I was trying to get 4 people's money back because the "$20 deal" we were promised didn't exist. The manager came over to us and I explained the misunderstanding and he was extremely apologetic and got our money back right away. It needs to be communicated to the people passing out those wristbands what they really entail. We wasted a good portion of our night trying to get a drink!!
