  • I was introduced to good Carne Asada in my early twenties and have spent a good portion of my adult life strategically locating the best Carneceria's (in my humble opinion) in various Valley cities. I have found that when we find ourselves hanging out with random friends in the spur of the moment unplanned get together. The kind of days where everyone involved just wants to have a few drinks and there are no grand ambitions of venturing out into the world. During some point the subject of food is going to pop up. As a big fan of margaritas and Mexican food I always attempt to steer the dining choice this way. Honestly Food City does a decent job but I feel like a great Carneceria where the owner actually shops for their meat says something about the meat you are buying. This Carneceria Sonora is easily the most solid Carneceria I have tried in Peoria. I have purchased here many times and I never hesitate to come back here.
