Off season so went to the only available option which was Ward's Island. The ferry went back and forth every 1/2 hour. We just missed one so sat grabbed provisions (sushi from a little place at Yonge and Queen's Quay although hot dogs from the street vendor would have worked too) and waited on the bench.
The ferry was crowded though we could still see the view of the city.
On this nice day during "winter season" there wasn't much to see or do. We walked to the small beach and visited a small playground. The women's bathroom was locked and there were no food options in sight. Many people on the ferry had bags of charcoal and grocery store bags of food.
Next time if it is "summer season" we will rent a four-person bike and visit the disc golf course.
