At $150+ per ticket, I expected better. The theater is themed very nicely. Sort of an Alice in Wonderland steampunk feel. The opening act doesn't match the theme of the show at all. Assuming this is supposed to be the comic relief of the show, but it was just cheesy. Aside from the dark/alternative metal that you would expect, the overall vibe I got from the show was a long narcissistic tribute to Criss Angel. He was really all about himself. This guy had more outfit changes than Corey Feldman. Definitely an obnoxious display of egomania. Most of the show was just the same thing over and over in a different way. A lot of the acts were just filler. After realizing how much of a narcissistic this guy really is, I assumed he was in the back on a fancy throne being fanned and fed by half-naked women. It really surprises me that this is considered a Cirque du Soleil Show. During the show, he asks for donations to his pediatric cancer charity. While this cause is extremely deserving of donations and attention, the way it's presented here feels awkward, inauthentic, and almost exploitative. I used to be a huge fan of Criss Angel. I loved his TV show but was extremely disappointed with his performance. Save your money for another performance. I think just about anything would be better.
