1 week ago I would have given this restaurant 4 stars for good Japanese food at a reasonable price point. It is with deep regret that I now give them 1 star( zero stars if I could). Right after we ordered tonight, we heard a loud, wet sneeze from one of the sushi chefs. The kind of sneeze that has a bunch of snot and phlegm. My sister looked at the sushi chef expecting that he was going to wash his hands. I, again, regret to inform you that he did not! He did not even pretend to. Way to prepare raw fish for your customers- probably one of their sauces' secret ingredients.
I would love to tell you that things were fine for the rest of the dinner but I can not lie to you. Just as I was almost finished with my cooked salmon dinner, I noticed a thick strand on the underside of my salmon. I initially thought it was a thin bone. Again, I regret to inform you that it was not a bone but a 2 inch long thick black hair. Seriously like an overgrown coarse pubic hair. No joke. When I told the waitress about it she apologized and removed the charge from our bill. I asked her if they wore hairnets in the back and she said no. I asked her if they would start and she looked at me like I was crazy. My sister told her about the sushi chef sneezing incident and she didn't seem concerned. Crazy ! No idea how they are open.
