  • We had a terrible experience with this company. - Salesman came out and made promises and assured us that he would be present when it came time for the patio cover layout. - We were provided with engineered drawings and those were submitted for a building permit. Drawings required a 3' x 3' footer. - Crew came out for layout, without the salesman, and the superintendent marked the holes, by eye, with a rock. - Salesman had been advised, and the superintendent as well, that we were going to use pavers so that the holes needed to be 3'6" deep to ensure a 3' x 3' footer. - Superintendent advised us that it was overkill and that a 2'6" footer would be fine. I had to call the office to get the holes to the proper depth. The crew complained about it. - City inspector came out to sign off on the footer excavation and noted that the rebar called for on the engineering drawings was missing. I told him I would make sure it was in place. - Crew came back to pour footings and layout and install the uprights for the cover. Superintendent was smoking, told be he wasn't supposed to, finished his cigarette and tossed it into the footer hole. As they were getting ready to install the posts and pour the footers, he once again, did the layout with his eyes and a tape measure. I asked about the rebar and was advised that it was also overkill. I told him that it was required. I ended up using my equipment to drill the required holes and then he got some concrete stakes to use because he didn't have rebar. - Because he didn't use batter boards or any other means to establish square corners the cover turned out to be not square. This became pretty obvious when the pavers were installed (for 1/3 of what PP quoted). - The installers were pretty good, however, one installed the screws on the top (which we can see from our balcony) in a straight line, while his partner's are all over the place and a couple are missing. If I had not been knowledgeable and present I would never have known that they cut corners and did not follow the engineered drawings. Based on my experience I would not recommend this company.
