| - This is going to be a long review but after taking the time to read it I believe you'll think it's worth it. I recently purchased two used cars back in January of this year; a 1999 BMW 540i and a 2003 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. The interiors and exteriors showed the normal wear and tear that you'd expect on cars between 12 and 16 years of age. I received a couple of Groupon and Living Social emails offering auto detailing services at a reduced rate and decided to order one from Race Day Mobile and the other one from a local company named Jensens Elite Detail. I scheduled Race Day to do the BMW and Jensens to do the Audi. I figured the company that did the better job would be the company I would use on my other vehicles. The Audi was the first car to be detailed. The owner showed up on a Monday morning at 11:00am and because I was at work I trusted my wife to keep an eye on the process and provide updates throughout the day. Now you have to understand that I purchased a FULL DETAIL from Jensens that included interior vac and shampoo, leather clean and treated, exterior wash, wax and polish, engine steamed/degreaser, tire dressing, etc... Basically, everything you'd expect in a FULL DETAIL. You would think that to receive all these services would take several hours, if not an entire day, to do the job right. Would you believe that Jensens spent less than ONE hour to do the job. A better way to look at it is Jensens spent less than one hour to do a job that was worse than a $5 car wash. The engine was never touched, the carpets were not completely vacuumed or shampooed, there was no tire dressing applied, the car wasn't even completely washed. There were still dead bugs on the grill and bumper, and the rims were still covered in heavy black brake dust and road grime. I took photos of the car to send to the owner so at least he'd understand why I thought the car was not detailed properly. Now here is where the story gets really weird. I called the owner the following morning and asked him for his email address so I could send him the photos. He told me that he didn't want to see any photos and I was crazy if I thought he should have spent more than 1 hour detailing the car. He said me makes a ton of money off these Living Social deals and could care less what I thought. When I tried to explain to him that he didn't even provide the basic services covered by the coupon he said that wasn't his problem. He said Living Social wrote the ad and if I had a beef to take it up with them. I then mentioned that the tires and rims weren't even cleaned and he explained that he doesn't actually wash anything except just the surface of the rim. Therefore, cutouts for the lug nuts, or spaces between the wheel spokes are left untouched. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Now this conversation went back forth and soon became apparent that I was dealing with a shady business owner. When I told him what I thought of his business practices and that he did a terrible job he said he had over 89% repeat business. I told him that was hard to believe because his online reviews are terrible. When the first sentence in a review describing the owner is that "he's a douche bag", I find the 89% hard to believe. Ok, enough of my bad experience with Jensen. I've filed a claim with Living Social and AMEX to get a full refund. You got to love that AMEX card when it comes to protecting the cardholder. Now let me tell you about Race Day Mobile and the BMW. First of all, the owner, Orin, scheduled the job on Saturday so I could be there to oversee the process. Alan and his co-worker, Dominic, showed up promptly at 9am. They then spent EIGHT, I REPEAT, EIGHT HOURS detailing the car. Everything they said they were going to do they did, and then some. They used their own deionized water, they cleaned, washed and waxed every nook and cranny on the car inside and out. I actually thought they went overboard. These guys ROCKED! I can't say enough about the job they did. The BMW looks brand new. I was so impressed with the job they did that I paid extra to have them clay bar and apply a ceramic shell to the finish. When they were done the car looked awesome. It actually looks wet. It's like looking into a mirror. So now I had one car, the Audi, that looked like crap, and the second car, the BMW, that looked like new and I decided then and there to have them come out the following week to do the Audi. So let's fast forward one week. Alan and Dominic show up again, but instead of spending 1 hour, or 8 hours on the car, they spend NINE AND A HALF HOURS! Talk about exceptional service. They spent two hours alone cleaning the rims and tires. They deep conditioned the leather interior, clay barred and ceramic coated the exterior, did everything else they did to the BMW, and when they were done the car looked brand new. These guys are so good that 2 of my neighbors are getting their vehicles done. I will try to post photos. If you provide an email I can send you photos
