| - It seems like all of the reviews here are Waterfront vs SSW, so here's why I come down in favor of Waterfront--
1) The parking situation--free at the Waterfront, rarely free at SSW. The first time I came here I went to matinee to "save money"...then I got hit up by the really high daytime rates in the parking garage. In the evening it's not so bad, but unless you're going on a Monday that means paying higher ticket prices.
2) Building layout--if you're going to a popular movie on opening weekend, expect crowds. There aren't really enough stairs and escalators to handle opening weekend traffic, whereas the one-floor layout of the Waterfront allows people to spread out and not crowd so much.
3) Prices/perks--yup, I'm a Stubs member. Coupled with free parking, this makes a movie outing with all the trimmings far cheaper at the Waterfront than at SSW. I also think there are better restaurants down at the Waterfront, but that may be because I hate the Cheesecake Factory :-)
That said, the interior of the movie theaters is very plush and nice. Sound quality isn't the greatest, but AMC isn't perfect either. If you're a frequent movie viewer, I think the Stubs program and parking tip the scales to the Waterfront, but for the casual moviegoer, just go to whichever one is closer!
