So a warranty from One Guard was included with the purchase of my home. Since it's an older home I was really excited to have that extra coverage. Not long after moving in my Wolf stove started having a problem with the ignitor. I called One Guard & they had someone out the next day. The customer service was great!
The technician diagnosed the problem & ordered parts. This was back in November. Since then the same technician has been to my home no less than 6 times. It's now June. The stove actually works worse than when they started. The flames on 3 burners actually reach the vent hood. I'm thinking this isn't very safe. After sending video to One Guard of the problem they are now claiming the problem never should have been covered in the first place but they are checking into it.
Also I've been researching & if they even end up covering it to replace the stove they won't replace the unit with what you already have. Since a Wolf stove is about 10,000 it sucks that they will only give us $3000 for replacement.
I've also had them come out for the built in refrigerator & the a/c unit. Both of those were fixed fine. But again if the built in fridge breaks beyond repair they will only give me a portion of the money it will take to replace it.
I have renewed my contract for another year because I still haven't got the stove thing figured out. It's now up to $1200 for the year. I don't even have a pool to cover!
I'm sure all home warranties are the same & don't provide the coverage you would expect. I would just recommend checking out the replacement value on the items you might have to use it for before deciding.
This review would have been a 1 if the customer service people weren't great when you initially call them.
