Had the pleasure of visiting the Breadfruit on Saturday night. Usually don't go out of my way to write a review unless i was really blown away by a place. Was able to make reservations the night before which was nice. I really find it astonishing that this place has only 3.5 stars for the place it is. I have to agree the place is a bit small but not to the point where you feel crammed. To start out the ambiance of the place is so relaxed and at the same time formal. Dim lighting, a fresh aroma and jamaican reggae tunes in the background. We were seated right away to our table and were served by Carly which i gotta say really made the night. She knew the food and drinks menu like if she was the chef and bartender herself. For the drinks i had the spanish gentleman and the shorty which i gotta say have probably been some of the best cocktails i've ever had. Started with the small plate scallops and then the woodfired jerk chicken. The combination of herbs and spices really come together for an incredible experience of flavor in your mouth. To my surprise i found out that the host himself Dwayne is the actual owner of the restaurant! When you see the owner as involved in his business that way you know the standards will be high. Ended up running a pretty big tab and have never felt better about paying for such a nice dinner. Please don't give your 1 star review as Joan P. did below just because the Jamaican Caribbean restaurant did not have your "vegan options" come on go eat your grass somewhere else smdh. Thank you Dwayne and Carly i will sure be seeing you again very soon.
