I checked into the room without a problem and got into my room. I left and came back. My guest used the restroom and the toilet clogged. She proceeded to go downstairs and speak to the front desk personnel who said someone would come up in about an hour (which is a long time). She also asked for a blanket which he said they ran out out of, which resulted in there being no bedding for the pullout couch . In an hour I got a call from the front desk saying someone is coming up to plunge the toilet. After no one showed for 15 min, I called downstairs and was told they can't find a plunger. I asked if they had a plumber or if someone is going to pick up a plunger. He said no because he is the only one downstairs. I asked what I am supposed to do and he said I'll get a credit for inconvenience aka deal with it . I had to leave and pick up my boyfriend from the airport. Prior to our return, we picked up a plunger from the store which didn't work. My boyfriend went downstairs to talk to the front desk, then we suddenly get a knock at the door. The guy from the front desk suddenly had an industrial plunger. He cleared the clog after 3 hours of us not being able to use the restroom. He told me to call the guy ( my bf) downstairs to tell him that the clog was cleared. When I spoke to my boyfriend he stated the employee never told him he was coming up to the room. He stated that the employee , again, stated we would get a credit for the inconvenience. In the AM, my bf went to speak to the manager Olivia who got an attitude with him when he requested the credit. She wouldn't look at him in his eyes, decided to hold other conversations while he was speaking with her, and claimed she's never had a problem with someone before. (Well yelp says otherwise). I will be pursuing a credit to my past stay because 1) I shouldn't be expected to sleep in a porta potty overnight 2) the hotel stated they would give a credit.
