  • My home has solar shades that were installed by Liberty home products. The shades that were installed on the second floor windows are not secured and slam against the glass window anytime there is wind. It doesn't matter if it's light, moderate or heavy wind, they slam hard! So much so that we had a broken window the other day. Buyer beware! It is a pain to have to raise and lower all the time. Now imagine a windstorm rolls thru your home while you're at work and you forgot to raise the shades! :-( EDIT: Since my review was posted I noticed a message from the business/business owner. Their response in a nutshell is that 1) their product is not warrantied against high winds and 2) I was not their customer and did not purchase these shades directly from them, however, they would repair the shade as long as my review was removed. Got it. Here's my response to theirs: 1) So if you forget to raise the shades one sunny day and a storm rolls around in the afternoon (which is not an uncommon occurrence in AZ) too bad, so sad. The company has not designed a product to withstand any type of wind speed, much less "high winds." It's called product testing. $600+ later, lesson learned. 2) Correct, I was not your customer but I did purchase this property and the shades were included in said property. Every time someone purchases your property directly or indirectly it is an opportunity for the business to demonstrate the quality of their product and encourage good word of mouth. Small businesses, especially, stand to benefit from this. Instead, what we got is being told that the former customer was a pleased one for years and had the new owners known how to handle the shades this wouldn't be a problem. Still not talking ownership of a faulty product. In spite of all of this, we were willing to do the right thing but we've been asked to remove the review before the corrective work is done. LHP still not doing the right thing simply because it's the right thing to do. We're leaving it at that.
