So I stopped next door for an oil change and was told as I was leaving that I could get 50% off any wash or detail next door if I showed my receipt. So I went over right after my car was done. As I waited for the gentleman to help me I looked over the options. I noticed that the interior detail was $105 so I thought heck, I might as well do that since it'll only be about $50! The gentleman came to help me and we decided on that package for what I was trying to accomplish when he wrote the 105 I mentioned I had the $50 receipt and he said that the cashier would handle that. When I came back to pay (I had ubered to a meeting) they stated that the jiffy lube 50% off was only for a standard wash. How embarrassing it was to stand there and put my foot down that two people acted as if it was indeed 50% off any type of wash or detail. I wouldn't have done the $105 detail if I knew it wasn't included. So the cashier capped over an additional gentleman who then preceded to hold his guns. By this time I was so frustrated out of principal I asked him to call his manager. She offered $20 off. Seriously? Why am I at fault for people not being educated? They ended up meeting me somewhere in the middle and I paid $75 instead of the $100. I still unsatisfied. If you're going to have a special you should have actual coupons printed that are physically given out so that people know the terms and there isn't miscommunication. The worst part of it all was hat my car is still dirty, the cup holder is filled with water, and everything looks just as lightly wiped down as it would for a regular wash. The only thing really extra is the shampoo of the carpet and seats and I don't even know how well that was done since it's wet and covered in plastic still. I definitely wont be coming back after this experience.
