| - Considering that their entire food menu is $5.95, my wallet was extremely pleased when I walked to the Eaton Centre afterwards, which is just a few minutes away.
I came here for lunch around noon this past Tuesday and Thursday (yes, I came back twice because that's how much I enjoyed my time there) and was seated immediately. The service was lovely - as though I was talking to a friend I had known for a while, with the ambience being both casual and social.
APPETIZER: Nachos *highly recommend*
This is nach cho ordinary review. Sorry - I just had to get that pun out there. Focusing back on the food, the nachos came in a huge portion size. It's listed as an entrée, but I think this is a great appetizer that can be shared with 1 - 2 friends. Considering you are paying $5.95 for both entrees and appetizers anyways, this allows you to get more 'bang for your buck'.
The nachos were crispy without the downside of it being oily, and the chef was generous in the amount of cheese and other toppings placed on them, such as tomatoes. Would highly recommend!
MAIN: Beet & Goat Cheese Salad w/ Marinated Chicken (chicken at additional cost)
Having had numerous beet and goat cheese salads in my food journey, I was somewhat disappointed with this entrée. Although the portion size was decent, the marinated chicken lacked seasoning, and I could barely find any glazed pecans, losing the textural crunch that I typically enjoy with such salads. However, given the low price point, I overall enjoyed the salad, as the clumps of goat cheese made me say 'cheese' and the chunks of beet got my heart beeting for joy.
