| - I recently had my first colonoscopy, which was performed at this location (CG&H Ballantyne). Let's face it, a colonoscopy is not a pleasurable procedure and comes with a lot of apprehension. I put it off for 3 years to avoid experiencing all the stories I'd heard from others over the years.
I should mention that I personally spent over a decade working at one of the largest healthcare provider organizations in the SE region, which left me with very high standards and expectations for what medical care should look like.
From the onset, the folks at CG&H Ballantyne were nothing short of stellar! They answered all my questions, went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and informed, and were very understanding about a first-timer's anxiety that comes with this procedure.
Their follow-up is amazing, especially in today's world of "everyone's a number, get them done as quickly as possible and move on..." There were calls on the front end to let me know what to expect, how to prepare and answer any questions, calls just prior to make sure I was ready and understood everything (and answer any questions), as well as a follow-up call several days after the procedure just to check on how I was doing. Who does THAT anymore?!
The day of the procedure was as pleasant as it could possibly be, and every single person I had contact with were over-the-top nice, polite, understanding, and most of all - genuinely caring!! They made me feel as if I was their only patient for the day and all focus was on me.
I was amazed at the level of care while also maintaining maximum efficiency. There was very little waiting around AND I never felt rushed at all. Every prediction and/or commitment they made was more than met.
I cannot recommend Charlotte Gastroenterology & Hepatology highly enough.
If you are in need of gastro care, this is THE place to go. They set the standard and a very high bar for measuring any/every practice across the entire medical industry.
While I'm certainly not looking forward to my next colonoscopy (LOL), I do look forward to every opportunity to encounter the services of Charlotte Gastroenterology & Hepatology.
