Do expect the best of service here. Do not expect to find Canadian built bikes here. The location of this store is great. Their bike selection is very good, if you like Trek. I have a 10+ year old Trek Hybrid city-commute bike.
My experience at this store today was really beyond grim. My son had brought the bike in for servicing. Paid service. In fact the tab for the service was larger than the spring service and tire swap on our car. So I was shocked when I got on the bike to ride home that there were several things not perfect:
1. Tires are rated between 50-86 PSI. A simple squeeze would tell anyone they were under that. One bump and I knew it. Rather than going back I rode home to deal with it myself. the tires were at 15psi. - 2 stars for not noticing.
2. A tune up I would think means making sure the derailed actually does its job. I come to my first hill and wham the gears shift up! What? - 1 star for that. I suppose it is old gears and old derailer, but they could have said something like you new a new chain or gear set or whatever that problem is.
3. The saddle was cracked. The mere suggestion of getting a new one would have at least been appreciated - 1 start for not being minutely pro-active.
Conclusion: If this is what paid service is... I hate to think what the free service would be like. I went across the street to Cyclepath and bought a new saddle, and I like the look of the Canadian made bikes like: Devinci, Cervelo, Argon 18, Brodie or Norco. Goodbye Trek.
