I'm writing about Artemano for an online purchase only that shipped to the US. I fell in love with a rosewood entertainment center on Houzz that I found came from Artemano. You could pick from three finishes so I picked the most varied colors to match some other furniture I had. I placed my order and lo and behold, I receive an email that it's not available. I got on the phone and was told a bunch of stories, from their computer system was a mess and they didn't know how much inventory they had, to relocating the piece to their main warehouse and then shipping it to me. A month passes, nothing. I've paid $1600 a this point for nothing! To ship to the US it was several hundred dollars for "white glove" shipping. I even asked what that was and was told that they coordinate special shipping to handle the piece with utmost care. A couple months have gone by and one after another incompetent, uninformed customer service person answered my calls fruitlessly. FINALLY it was on the way after it seemed like I had made endless calls. Remember the white glove delivery now! I'm tracking the shipment and find out it's stuck at a depot about an hour from my home in NC. It sat there for a week! Finally someone really nice called me to tell me they found a driver to bring it. I'm going to say it again..."white glove" delivery...Take a look at the photo! A DIRECTV VAN PULLS INTO OUR DRIVEWAY WITH A BOX HANGING OUT OF THE OPEN DOORS! This is white glove? This is what I paid hundreds of dollars for? The guys who brought it were super nice though, so I didn't take it out on them. We open the box and what do I see? THE WRONG COLOR! What do I do? I email one of the manager who no longer works there and sent her the picture on Houzz and the one that delivered. She had the nerve to tell me it was LIGHTING! Lighting??? Ummm...NO, you sent me the wrong one! After careful examination I sent her pics of the chips on the drawers, a sharpie mark on the top and a scratch. This looked like a floor model that was sent to me. What was the solution? $100 credit for another purchase??? I don't think so! I kept the piece because it is a lovely piece, but I had to do some touching up and then the handles started to fall off....the screws were not right for the handle so I'm replacing those.
Would I shop from them again? NO WAY.
