We are always on the look out for a good breakfast spot. This is located in a very busy strip mall but we had no problem finding parking close. When you walk in your eyes instantly go to the ceiling where they have brightly colored umbrellas with flowers on them opened up and facing downward. Some of them are on spinners. Very cute idea.
The waiters and waitresses are dressed in their pj's. Yet another cute concept!
The menu seemed very healthy. Some gluten-free options, fresh squeezed juices, etc.
They are supposed to be known for their steak and eggs. I am not a huge fan of steak and eggs so I ordered the Banana Foster flake pancakes with 2 eggs and a banger sausage. Banger sausage...interesting just one came with the meal. It isn't your normal greasy sausage..interesting.. it is actually kind of hard to describe but it was really tasty. Now for the pancakes...delicious. I am not a syrup eater so for me the pancakes were just right. Enough sweetness and the crunch from the corn flakes was perfect...a griddled banana was on top along with whipped cream and nuts.
My man loves country fried steak and eggs...he said it was really good. It is made with a NY strip steak. He ordered a side of a biscuit and gravy and he said the gravy they used on the biscuit was different than on the steak...it did look different, not as much sausage and thinner. He preferred the gravy on the biscuit. But he said all in all it was a good meal. I had the fresh squeezed watermelon and strawberry juice. Mmmm mmmm mmmm. I am a sucker for anything watermelon though! :) We hit the restaurant at the perfect time because after we sat the place filled up!!!
We will definitely be going back.
