  • Wow. This is a big ol' beast of an international supermarket. Mahoosive, as they say. And on the one hand, that means you've got a good chance of finding that on specific thing you're looking for. On the other had, good luck at finding the one specific thing you're looking for. I was on a quest for RamunĂ©--that wonderful Japanese beverage with the marble in the top that you pop down...you just have to experience it. We wandered the aisles for a while until I found it on a random aisle, in the middle of the store, in the front. No rhyme or reason, in my mind, just that it was there with no other beverages. All they had is orange flavor, but I talked to a lady who said sometimes she comes in and they have flavor after flavor stacked up, and sometimes she comes in and they don't have any at all. Which is about par for the course, I'm guessing. With so many countries to import from, my guess is you just sort of take what you can get. Every kind of noodle, and every kind of spice, and every kind of canned anything, and a whole aisle of lovely imported candies. The kiddies love the Pocky. I got some glass noodles for a meal later, and we scarfed up some Japanese cookies. Kinda bummed on the "Argentina" aisle. Didn't recognize one thing from Argy-ville, but I think a Latin American market would probably do more justice, anyway. You can spend years here. Either wandering the aisles and just taking it all in, or wandering the aisles looking for one specific thing. Take your time. Look at the seafood, the frozen goods, the produce, the drinks, and grab something to try. And get you RamunĂ©!
