  • Whenever I find out a band / performer I would like to see live is going to be in Toronto, I always hope and pray they avoid a few locations in Toronto. This is definitely one of the locations I hope they don't play at. I have been forced to go here twice. I say forced because I would never go here for any other reason than the band is a must watch. Here is why this rates as one of the worst concert locations: 1) Acoustics of an air plane hangar. To make up for it they blast the speakers to hearing loss inducing levels. that ringing in your ears the next day is your memo to schedule yourself for a hearing aid when you hit 40. 2) Worst washrooms ever. The men's washrooms smelt horrible. Sure some urinals were leaking (not water). And the attendant it seems is there only to hand out paper towels as they haven't heard of dispensers in the land of Sound Academy. Maybe they could invest in a paper towel dispenser and have the guy work instead to sanitize the place every few months or so. 3) Location. Its like the inconvenience of a suburb of Toronto with high prices of Toronto downtown. We always skip out 10 minutes before the concert ends so we don't have to wait for 30 minutes for the lines of cabs to work through. 4) A/C bought at the discount store or something. The temperature is generally hovering in the upper 20s to low 30s with close to 100% humidity in this place. Maybe invest in an A/C that can deal with all those people that you know you sold tickets to. 5) trying to deal with 4, means beer , which means a 10 minute line at the bar. How about sufficient staff to deal with crowds at the concert? I hope bands (concert promoters? ) stop booking here, so I never have to go here again.
