We were invited by hotel management to give the Edgewater another shot on their dime, so we had a one-night staycation there last weekend. The room was gorgeous (though we would never have spent $649 for a night in a hotel, no matter how nice), and the front desk service was fine this time around.
We also dined again at the Statehouse. As with every previous visit, the food was tasty but not mind-blowing, and the service was subpar compared to other local restaurants in the same price range. The wait staff was very friendly, but somewhat inattentive, especially considering that the dining room was half-empty.
It's certainly not the worst option in town, and the view alone is worth a lot, but you could do better, especially for dinner.
