  • Omg omg omg ...SO fun!!!! We'd never experienced an escape room before visiting Escapability, and it was so worth it! Super excited to try more . We used a Groupon and got a deal for a private experience (which I'm now discovering upon research isn't the norm for most places like this with similar price points) so my husband and I really enjoyed it and appreciated working with just each other !! I think we also gained a greater appreciation for each other and the skills we brought to the table . Me, being the more logical and practical one , and him being amazing with all the hands on stuff (like knowing how to work all those different damn locks lol!!!!) , puzzle solver, and the braver one by far . Definitely a wonderful team -building activity. For those contemplating trying an escape room, just do it ! I startle easily as I am a jumpy person by nature , but rest assured everything is stationary and non-threatening even if some of the props are pretty creepy to look at! Word of advice to newbies based on our experience - you're not solving a mystery (as far as Ive gathered !)...you're just trying to solve puzzles and get out lol! So don't waste your time being too hung up on minor details of the backstory like a wannabe CSI or you'll for sure waste your time ! I'm so glad our game master chimed in via speaker phone /intercom when we couldn't even figure out the starting point , and was responsive when we had questions or were ready for our hints. If the other experiences are set up like this one , just beware you may be dealing with escape roomS . We were excited when we thought we had finished with time to spare , only to discover there was a whole other room of puzzles we still needed to get through . So goes without saying you need to move FAST. If it's taking too long, you probably aren't doing it right. I wanted to slap myself when I realized how straightforward the puzzles actually were, but don't misunderstand me- They're still quite challenging as you need to figure out what the puzzles are, HOW to do the puzzles, and THEN actually DO them! Surely you can see how an hour goes fast. We didn't finish the room, but still got closure on what we would have still needed to do in order to escape so we left happy customers regardless :). The game master and owner who were there were absolute delights and I wish their specific store was here in our hometown so we could continue trying out the rest of their rooms with their level customer service. Our experience here raised the bar of what to expect from escape rooms. They are obviously passionate about their business. Thanks for an amazing experience !!!
