| - I feel like Walmart is really hated upon. A lot of people shop here. It's always crowded. I'm sure not all of these shopper are unhappy, yet low score ratings are the most common ones we see here. Oh well; that's just how reviews work, people are only likely to post their bad experiences.
Oh well, I bring today an average experience. As mentioned, the location is typically pretty crowded. The parking lot is kind of musty. There's often uncomfortable characters around at most times of day; I feel most comfortable going in the morning. Overall though, I've never had much issue finding what I need here and it's usually at a reasonable price.
As far as customer service goes, we've done maybe 6-7 returns. Only 1 time did we have an issue with a return where we spent a long time trying to return an item. Ultimately in the end, we weren't able to return it due to it being expired according to their return policy. We argued that of course because the item we were trying to return was ambiguously categorized in the "14 day" returns category, but we weren't able to return it.
That's returns. We also had some issues during checkout a few times. Sometimes the prices listed in the store didn't agree with the prices at the register. This was especially true for those large frozen "Birds eye" meals which they have a banner on the freezer in front of for like $5.90, and the actual price is $6.80. Advertising 90 cents off the actual price is a big deal considering those selves are usually pretty picked clean towards the evening.
Looky here, 1 of 7 non-smooth returns, and a maybe 3-4 price disputes out of 100+ shopping trips.
It's not perfect. I wouldn't call it excellent either necessarily. But it certainly isn't a BAD location.
We also found it slightly annoying that the cosmetic and electronics section are closed after certain hours and we have to be escorted in there if we want anything after those hours. Stupid thieves ruining other things for normal people...
