| - I've been going here on and off for over a year now and there is always something in stock that I can pick up. Yes, you will spend hours pursuing the store searching for what you want, but that's the fun in record collecting. Also, most, if not all, the records are in great condition though the covers will vary depending on the previous owner. Another plus is Galaxie Electronics which fixes almost anything dealing with turntables.
I acquired my great-grandpa's old turntable console from, my guess, the 1950's or earlier 60's due to it having a vacuum tube unit. Anyways, the main unit which ran the radio and turntable was dead, wouldn't power up at all. So, after taking it here and explaining the issue, within a week I got a call that it was finished. Turned out the vacuum tubes were in working order and that a couple resistors were bad. The price to fix it was very reasonable in my mind, only 60 bucks if memory recalls.
I really have nothing bad to say about this place, it's basically a staple to go here if you are a record enthusiast like I am. Last thing, this place is CASH ONLY. If you forget, however, they have an ATM in the store or you can find one on Murray Ave near the banks.
