My wife and I were looking for a place to stay during our anniversary. I found a great rate online for the Rio so I decided to book a room. The booking process was easy and I received my confirmation through email I also received a reminder and a book in suggestion the day of our reservation. I chose that option because I thought it was going to be easier.
Arriving at the hotel I proceeded to the self check in kiosk. I had a bit of difficulty with the machine reading my driver's license but I eventually received my room keys. I found ample parking in the structure adjacent to the Rio and I parked on a shaded level. I would recommend parking on one of the shaded levels due to the heat. We took all our bags and proceeded to our room. Our room was located on the 10th floor so getting there was not too difficult.
Room - The room was spacious and had a large King bed that was very soft. There was also a large couch with a coffee table and a smaller table with 2 chairs if you decided to eat in your room. There was plenty of storage as well as closet space. The bathroom had the usual with a tub with a shower. Getting into the tub to take a shower was a bit of a challenge. The room had a refrigerator but it kept things to cold that everything froze. I tried to find a way to adjust the temperature of the refrigerator but could not locate anything. It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room.
Pool - There is a beautiful pool at this hotel but getting to it takes a lot. You have to walk through the entire casino to get to the pool. The music at the pool is really loud so if you have a room facing the pool it challenging to rest during the day.
I am pretty sure that I will not be staying at this hotel again.
