  • I went to Avalon to get an ombré color and cut. I had brought a photo to show the student stylist and teacher. The student was very professional and did a great job asking me what I liked about the photo I brought; however, her teacher was very rude and flat out told me the cut would like terrible on my face. I appreciate the honesty but the way it was said was plain out rude. After deciding on a better haircut option, the student began working on my color process for ombré. It is a very tedious process so it required a lot of time and effort. Her teacher barely assisted her at all (she was too busy checking her makeup in the mirror) and when she asked questions it seemed like the instructor was frustrated. Finally got past the color process, looked at the time it had been 4 HOURS! Process continued with a shampoo, cut and blow dry which took another 3 HOURS! So a total of 7 HOURS at the salon, although I LOVED my hair at the end...I wish that the instructor assisted her student more so she didn't struggle so much to finish in a reasonable amount of time. Overall great student stylists, but poor consideration in regards to a customers time.
