Why the heck haven't we checked Tempest out before? Finally did during Restaurant Week and it vaults near the top of Madison area favorite restaurants!!
Enjoyed delicious cocktails at the beautiful (and much larger than we ever imagined) bar. We are not oyster people, but when in Rome: We ordered a variety of oysters that the waiter chose for us and we now understand the appeal so much better. They were erotic and tasty.
Started out with a side of the Conch Fitters. Amazingly delicious. Jack had the She Crab Soup. Instant favorite, beating anyone's best lobster bisque or similar in town!!
I had the Hanger Steak Oscar, medium rare and perfect, which came with lobster, fingerling potatoes and asparagus. The sauce was oh so good.
Jack had the Blue Marlin, enough to feed two, in this hazelnut pesto lime aioli to die for.
We both had Chocolate Caramel Walnut Tart for dessert. Crazy yummy.
Cannot wait to return to try everything else on their menu!
