Was in Vegas for college, and ended up getting into a situation that required me to seek medical attention...didn't know much about hospitals around Vegas here... came here and ER was very nice, but after being admitted it was horrible. I had a horrible week in the hospital. I wasn't allowed to shower due to me not being able to stand on my own (nurses refused to help me shower so instead they gave me dry shampoo and a cloth)... treated me like shit...didn't allow me to eat at certain hours saying it was all part of testing and how I couldn't eat before testing or some stupid bullshit and worse of all I was dehydrated the whole week in the hospital, no fluids hooked up... called my mom (who was in another state due to me being an out of state college student )crying and wanting to leave, and explaining every bad thing that has happened , they let me go and I went back home (to another state) never heard from this hospital about my medical bills (why would I think I would get bills when I'm covered by two health insurances)... months later (around 6-7 months later) I receive all these phone calls about "medical bills" . Told them I have two health insurances and they didn't listen and sent me the bills... I was/ still upset with this hospital.... they told me they sent multiple bills to my dorm address on file... i NEVER came them my dorm address , I gave them my mailing address which is in my home state... not ONCE did they bother to call me or my mom.... fucked me over by sending my bills to debt collectors and fucking my credit .... and when trying to get my health insurances to look at the bills, UMC accounting department refused to listen or cooperate .... and keep in mind I was admitted into this hospital back in September 2015... its 2017... and I'm still dealing with this bullshit of medical bills that they claim I owe .... scam much? Definitely seeking a lawyer and suing this hospital for the Poor treatment in the hospital and for fucking me over with bills, I never received until I had to request them and for FUCKING my credit ... don't go here. Their money hungry and they don't do their jobs or care for you like hospitals should.
