Joe Maria was referred to me by a friend who had a complete install done. I called Joe, he was polite and informative- far more than other large shops I called earlier who basically have you talk to a salesman to get you to commit then you are handed off to an installer. Joe said in our initial conversation he took "pride in his work", which this was an alarm/remote start reinstall as the previous installer from a big box store did not have pride in his work years earlier and the store did not stand behind anything only wanting to sell me another unit and install. Joe installed my alarm/remote start with an alarm unit the same as what failed that I had previously bought a year earlier. I was even allowed to watch, which Is where I noticed that he really loves what he does and takes pride into every single detail. The install before was a hacked spool of wires everywhere and even had me trying to sort it prior to bringing it to Joe. The job took every part of 4 hours as he predicted and he pointed out (and corrected) missing wires, diodes and resistors which were recommended by the manufacturer but was left out in the initial install. It was like they just touched wires until it worked for the moment. What I have now is a neat, picture perfect and well hidden alarm install. In talking to Joe he has decades of experience in electronics and installs. He is also a local business so I was happy to know that the person I spoke to initially who made the promises was also the person who delivered the results- more importantly he honored his verbal quote even though he needed to add extra work to install it right. He even offered a lifetime warranty on his labor and is a DEI/viper approved installer so next time I'll just buy the parts through him. He will be my audio electronic guy from this point on. This is a perfect example on why to support small and local businesses.
