Easily the most impressive collection of games out of all the options in Toronto. On top of this, easily the nicest staff and most helpful customer service. However, they use both of these things as a cover up for their very high prices. Because you are guaranteed a positive experience and the convenience of having everything you could ever want in one place, they jack the prices up beyond market value. I recently purchased a copy of Mike Tyson's Punch Out for $60 because I figured I would support the guys for the great work they do. However, I now deeply regret this purchase as I have seen it go for $20 on eBay and $40 at other game stores in the city. They claim they do their best to price fairly, however this is far from the truth, and they simply don't want to admit it. I have never once found a price at A and C which is lower than their competitors. Why? They have developed a good reputation in the city. I have been a loyal customer since 2009, however I now find less incentive to support them because they keep jacking the prices up beyond belief.
Mario Kart 64 - $85
Mini Coleco Arcade Machines - $90-$130
Power Glove in Box - $230
Prices like these make me physically ill, knowing I can be patient and get a much better deal elsewhere instead of giving in to the convenience factor. Bottom line; great store, not so great prices.
I also have to agree with other reviewers when they say the staff open late. Absolutely unacceptable and downright rude to paying customers who travel all the way downtown only to wait for 30 minutes. Have some decency.
