| - At the last moment me and my Husband decided to go to the foodie fest. We stopped to get cash just in case cards weren't accepted but they were. We arrived about 6pm as the sun was setting perfect timing. However, I wished that we would have came earlier because there were some local performers that we missed. The one performance we saw was great. It was a local group of kids dancing. There were vendors from out of state. My idea was to eat everything that we don't have here. It sucks because I lost most of my pictures. We had some smothered fries with pulled pork, cheese, and bbq sauce. A macaroni n grilled cheese sandwich from a bbq spot in Arizona. Talk about delicious, tender, flavorful, the sauce was delicious with a bit of sweetness, spiciness, and tanginess. Then we had fried ice cream from Frach's also out of state. I did not care for it at all. It tasted like a beginner cook made it. I have had fried ice cream at a Thai restaurant that was amazing. This was less than mediocre. The good thing was they made it fresh to order, had different flavors of ice cream, along with differing toppings but just didn't hit the spot. And it was a bit expensive $14 for 1. Overall I will be attending next year. This is a great family event. Oh, we also had alcohol beverages too, they were good and you can taste the alcohol. A bit expensive but was worth the money.
