The Worse customer service I have ever experienced in my life!
Today 4/21/18 at approximately 2:30pm I visited the store at Greenway and Tatum Blvd in Phoenix Arizona.
The store had several customers in the store. The Manager was running one register and a sales associate was running the other register, his name began with a Q.
I was standing in line to purchase your Green to Clean product. The manager was helping a customer who began talking about how everyone working for the IRS was corrupt and cheating the system.
The sales associate finished with his customer and I proceeded to his register. He began talking to the Managers customer about the IRS etc. I asked the associate for your information sheet on the Green to Clean, he continued to talk to the Managers customer about non-pool related items. I asked again for the info sheet. The manager heard me and informed the Associate where to obtain the info sheet. That's when the customer experience failed. The sales associate then said to me "excuse me I'm having a conversation with that customer" I then commented that I was at his register and he was having a conversation with the Managers customer and I needed the information sheet. He then said to me "well now you wait" he then turned his back to me walked away from his register and went to help a water testing customer who walked into the store after I was at his register. He then continued to ignore me. The manager then rolled his eyes and shook his head regarding his associates behavior and he attempted to apologize for the associate's behavior. At that time I was NOT going to be giving this location any of my business any more and left the store.
I have NEVER experienced any associate for any company to ever make a comment to me "Now you wait" and walk away. I've managed sales associates for over 40 years of my career for fortune 500 companies and in my entire career never had experience such a rude and disrespectful sales associate.
In today's world where every retail location is competing to keep their customer base, this associate is truly damaging this locations reputation. It wouldn't surprise me that in the near future based on this locations review of similar experiences that corporate would close this location.
After I left I went to the location just 1 mile south on Thunderbird. At this location I was treated with respect and was provided the information sheet I needed for your Green to Clean product. When I shared my recent experience with this location, the associate as well as another customer said to me that they experienced similar rude issues with that associate.
My advice to the company is this associate should not be on your front lines without receiving some much needed customer service training.
