| - I was not a fan of BRGR.
Being a build-your-own-burger restaurant fan, I was excited about one opening up so close to home and not having to drive to Robinson to go to THE OTHER DIY BURGER PLACE (now referred to as ODIYBP).
I happen to be a regular at ODIYBP.
I was pleasantly surprised at the beer selection, and the prices definitely beat ODIYBP's
....the burgers though?
Not great.
First of all, if burgers are your restaurant's specialty, why would you choose a ground beef mixture that is so greasy that the bun liquifies within minutes of the beef patty hitting it?
Secondly, knowing that your ground beef has such a high fat content that it's going to be a greasy mess, why would you not choose to use buns that hold up to the amount of grease seeping out of your burger??
That aside, I found that ALL I could taste was salt.
Everyone at my table commented on the saltiness of their food.
No side dishes are included, so I ordered the potato chips, and they were about as good as my burger.
Which is to say, not good. I don't know if the frying oil was old or if they'd just sat out for hours. Maybe a combo of both. Who knows.
Tl,dr: go to Burgatory instead.
