  • I started going to Gold Bar because I've grown bored of the green and white mermaid place and got sick of giving my money to huge coffee chain. Thus, I moseyed across the parking lot to Gold Bar to support the local coffee shop. It's nothing special to be honest. I love that there seem to be people who are in there regularly and it feels homey. The workers are a little inconsistent. Some of them give you a discount for getting the drink in a mug and some don't; some put whipped cream on your hot chocolate and some don't. I think my drink should be the same price and made the same way every single time I order it. They have nice assortment of different teas which I like as I'm a tea drinker. I haven't tried any of their weird candy bar flavoured espresso drinks. I'll have try to try one before it gets too hot out. There is live music on Friday and this was a pleasant surprise. I also really like that they are open til 11pm which is 2 hours later than Starbucks which is way better for me. I'll be back because I live really near by, they are quite pleasant and I like to support the little man lol.
