| - I haven't stayed at the Wingate as a guest, but our company reserved meeting room space there. so, my review will be based on my impressions walking through there, dealing with the staff and their facility for meeting room space.
The staff were extremely friendly and service orientated. They were readily available for any questions, and the office manager was chatty and helpful.
The facility had free wi-fi, so I was able to use that to get into the corporate network for my presentation. The meeting room was set up in a theatre setting for 40 people for our use. The room could have fit an additional 40 if we needed to in this seating arrangement.
The rooms were defiantely "no frills", but they were sufficient for our purposes. We are quite spoiled at the office and have the latest toys, like smart boards and crestron panels to control the room. This hote had a nice, but more basic offering. We had a screen set up, we brought in our own projector (I imagine they provided them, but likely at an extra charge). Eveything was clean and they also provided us easels.
The room also had a big counter space with a sink. This wasn't required for our purposes, but I thought it was a nice touch.
My impression of the hotel was good. The lobby presented well, and across from our meeting room was a gym and a swimming pool.
For meeting space in the far south, the Wingate definately met our needs.
