| - Holy lanta!
This place was AMAZING! Seriously. I kept hearing people talk about all this past week, why? Oh that's right because they won on Cupcake Wars. Well I could definitely see as to why they had won.
I am a generally healthy person, but every now and then I like to splurge a little and eat one (or two.. shh!) cupcakes. I was craving a delicious little piece of cake heaven, and seeing as this place was being talked about everywhere I figured why not try it out and see if it's truely worth it. Well my friends, it was worth it. Every last crumb.
Upon walking in, my fiance and I were quickly greeted and the cupcakes were immediately just staring at me, looking delicious as ever. My fiance ordered a oatmeal cookie, while I ordered us a peanut butter cookie, brown velvet cupcake, and a carrot cupcake. First things first, I am not a big fan of oatmeal cookies. They are usually pretty bland to me. This cookie was perfect! Mind you, I only got a nibble of my fiance's but he seemed to enjoy it as he wolfed it down in a good 45 seconds. It was super fresh, and had a hint of sweetness to it. I put both my cupcakes in the fridge, saving the brown velvet for later and the carrot for the next day. When I was finally ready to try the brown velvet, I instantly yelled "OH MY GOD. This is GOOD!" and I grabbed a forkful and handed it to my fiance. He is not a sweets person at all, and has never understood my obsession with cupcakes. He was amazed at how good it was, and asked for another bite.. which is rare. It was perfect! It was moist, incredibly fresh, the frosting was yum, and it was just overall incredibly tasty! Anywho, the next day I pulled out the carrot cupcake for us to enjoy and it was just as delicious as the brown velvet! It was a day old, but still tasted just as fresh as the brown velvet I had the day before. Incredibly delicious, and the perfect amount of carroty flavor. My peanut butter cookie was awesome as well. Just like the cupcakes, it was fresh, moist, and well, rather perfect. I am already planning on ordering some cookies & cupcakes for my next special occasion, and I am so excited to have found this place.
This place is highly recommended! Blows all those other cupcake joints out of the water! Love that they use mostly local, and organic ingredients. I will be a repeat customer and have already begun to tell my fellow cupcake loving friends all about this place!
