We ordered Pork and Leek Dumplings, Noodle in Chili and Peanut Sauce and a Cold Dish for lunch. I don't remember the exact prices, but I recalled that they were reasonable. Everything seemed authentic and homemade. All the oil, all the flavours. The freshness of everything was average/okay. The dumplings were home styled, so the skin was thicker than "gourmet" restaurant style. The cold dish was just radish in vinegar.
In place of restaurant refinement, The Old House is full of country charm and homeliness. It feels like a neighbourhood Northern food eatery down the street. I enjoyed the trip back time, so I would likely visit again if I am in the neighbourhood.
