  • Not in my wildest dreams would I ever think that I would write this phrase... I love this Home Depot. When it comes to any DIY errands and going to the grocery store, I beg my hubby to go in while I stay in the car and answer emails on my iPhone. This particular day I needed an extension cord so I could power up our Nordic Track treadmill and my hubby wanted me to learn about the different power cords available so I went in, willingly. I guess I may have a thing about only shopping online and not going into big box stores in the home DIY sector. My previous experiences in home, bed and bath, paint, DIY stores is that they are so big that I get overwhelmed right when I walk in. For some reason, I can never figure out where anything is and I'm always left wandering for at least 20 minutes before I find anyone to help me. Sound familiar? As soon as we walked in, from the friendly senior with a huge smile that says hello and greets at you at the sliding doors to the happy cashier team that chats with you while you're being rung up to the brightly lit and clean store, our experience was painless. You know why this experience was so quick and easy? Right when we walked in we told the very nice senior lady greeter what we needed and she pointed us off the right direction and off we went to the extension cord aisle...where there were cords, and more cords, and different lengths and gauges and more cords. Best part was that there was a huge sign above the cords explaining to laymen how and what the cords are used for. If every DIY errand was made this simple. Brilliant. Great store. Thank you Home Depot, I may now be over my phobia.
