I used to go to FEZ at its old location years ago. Back then it was much better. I thought they went out of business and then I happened to be driving on Central and saw the new location. So happy to see it, I decided to grab some lunch to go. My favorite has always been the FEZ burger. I placed my order and waited, pretty much ignored by the female bartender. I got my food and left.
Very disappointed in the quality. One of the things that makes this burger so good is the pears they put on it, plus the feta and sauce and onion strings. Well.....one side of the two pieces had no pears and the other side had a small piece. On top of that, the burger was super dry and just overall not very tasty.
What makes this all the more maddening is the extreme prices at FEZ. That dry burger was $15 with tax! Way more in cost then it used to be. Oh yes and it comes with a side salad?! Hello, how about some normal fries with my burger. Oh yeah, you can get that for another $2.50!! I'm sorry but I'm not paying $17 or $18 dollars for a so so, not that huge portion burger. Hello FEZ owners - I'm not rich by any means. I'm there to support your business and hopefully get a good quality meal like I used to get.
On the positive side - the new location seems nice but I liked the old one too. The bar is probably the best part. This cool sort of octagon shape with a thick granite top (at least I think it was granite). Considering the difficulty of getting to this location, parking, expensive pricing and sub par quality - I won't be going back. I'm tempted to call and ask for my hard earned money back for the disappointing meal.
