  • I've been going to Panna Thai since it first opened and it's still my favorite Thai restaurant in the valley. I used to always eat at their first restaurant (Thai BBQ on Jones) when I was in high school and when they opened Panna my family would come here almost every other week for dinner since it was closer to home. I love their Thai Tea and I've yet to find any place that beats theirs. It's pretty sweet, but very refreshing and creamy. Their service is always great and their takeout business seems very lively. Now for the food, I'll throw out a lot of recommendations but keep in mind I always eat in so I'm not sure how well things keep for delivery or takeout. For noodles, their Pad See-ew and Pad Thai are consistently delicious. I typically go for Beef Pad See-ew or Chicken Pad Thai. For curries, I almost always get a Beef Panang Curry because it's probably my favorite thing on the menu. You can adjust the spiciness to whatever you want too. If Panang isn't your style, I'd recommend the Green Curry with chicken. Other amazing things include: Herbal Fish Salad, which is a bunch of strips of crispy white fish with a unique vinaigrette on greens. Tom Kha soup with chicken, which is like a sour soup with coconut milk and mushrooms. They have affordable lunch specials here too. I usually go for the Beef Sate (~$8) or the Garlic Short Ribs (~$7). The short ribs are packed with a lot of flavor in a garlic sauce and the beef sate is like three skewers of meat with good egg fried rice. All in all, I've been to Panna a bunch of times and have never had a bad experience. They're very consistent and they make good Thai food as well as some specialty fusion dishes. It's a great place to go for large groups too. They serve beer and wine and have a TV if there's a certain game you need to watch. But seriously, get the Thai Tea.
