| - Friends! We don't have to use Cox or Century Link and be slaves to their constant rate hikes and service interruptions!
After being told that we had a set rate by Cox (AGAIN) and not being informed that it was a promotional rate we decided to start looking at other options. Our internet service through Cox has doubled in the last few years and we were sick of paying $120 per month JUST for internet (no cable TV, no phone, JUST internet). We stumbled upon LV Net's Yelp page and decided to give them a try due to their 4 star review. According to the reviews it seems that the people who have issues with their service all live in Henderson and Pahrump, but people in Las Vegas and North Las Vegas (where we are) have no problems.
When I called LV Net the customer service agent was extremely friendly and was able to answer all of my questions. Their support staff is available 24/7/365, so I'm never worried about not being able to get help. After asking how we use our internet (10ish devices and constant Netflix/Hulu streaming) the representative suggested their Advanced Plan of 25MBPS down at $75 per month with NO DATA LIMITS! This price is SO MUCH BETTER than Cox! There is a $100 one time installation fee because they actually come out and install a dish on your roof, but I was happy to pay it to get away from Cox. As a side note, Century Link doesn't even have high speed internet in our area, but when I have used them in the past I was not happy, so I didn't want to go with them again.
We were given a 3 hour window in which the installer would be here, he showed up 20 minutes into that window, which was amazing. He took about an hour and a half to install the dish and run the cable. He helped me make sure the service was working and that it would do what we needed it to do. If at any point we need faster service we can upgrade our plan from the Advanced plan to the Executive plan for $115 a month (STILL cheaper than Cox).
Right now I've got all my devices running with no issues, I've got 2 TV's streaming Netflix and Hulu, and I'm writing this review on my computer. I am so very happy that we switched to LV Net!
